Chlorinated polyethylene CPE 135A
CPE 135A is chlorinated polyethylene, an impact modifier for rigid PVC. Without it a rigid formulation is brittle, particularly in the cold: pipe and profile crack during winter transport and installation. CPE is added at a small loading and raises impact resistance without making the part soft. It is not a plasticiser and not a substitute for one.
